School Rules and Regulations

At Annai Matriculation Higher Secondary School, discipline and responsibility are integral to fostering an environment conducive to learning and personal growth. We expect students to adhere to the following rules and regulations, which are designed to promote the overall development of each student and maintain the standards of the school.

Attendance and Punctuality
  • Students must attend school regularly and be punctual for all classes.
  • Any absence must be justified with a written note from parents or guardians. A medical certificate is required for absences due to illness lasting more than three days.
  • Students arriving late will be required to report to the principal’s office and may be denied entry to class.
Classroom Etiquette
  • Students must come prepared for all classes with the necessary books, notebooks, and stationery.
  • There should be no talking, disruptive behavior, or unauthorized use of mobile phones or electronic devices in the classroom.
  • Students are encouraged to participate in class discussions and complete all assignments on time.
Behavior and Discipline
  • Students must maintain respectful behavior towards teachers, staff, and fellow students at all times.
  • Any form of misconduct, including bullying, disrespectful language, or physical altercations, will result in disciplinary action.
  • Students are expected to follow instructions from teachers and staff without argument.
Cleanliness and Hygiene
  • Students are expected to maintain personal hygiene and keep the school environment clean and litter-free.
  • Eating in classrooms is strictly prohibited. Students must use designated areas such as the canteen or outdoor spaces during breaks.
Uniform
  • All students must wear the prescribed school uniform in neat and clean condition.
  • Wearing of proper footwear and accessories (if part of the uniform) is mandatory. No variations in uniform design will be accepted.
Respect for School Property
  • Students must take care of school property, including furniture, books, lab equipment, and sports facilities.
  • Any damage caused to school property will be charged to the student responsible, and disciplinary action will be taken.
Parental Involvement
  • Parents are requested to attend Parent-Teacher Meetings and stay actively involved in their child's progress.
  • Parents must ensure their child adheres to all school rules and regulations and encourage discipline at home.
Health and Safety
  • In case of illness or injury, students must inform the school authorities immediately.
  • Parents should update the school with current contact information and provide necessary details regarding any medical conditions their child may have.
Transport Rules
  • Students using school transportation must abide by the bus rules, including orderly behavior during pick-up and drop-off times.
  • Misbehavior on the bus will result in the withdrawal of transport privileges.
Prohibited Items
  • Students are not allowed to bring any form of weapons, sharp objects, or any other harmful substances to school.
  • Smoking, consumption of alcohol, or the use of any drugs within or outside school premises is strictly forbidden and will result in immediate expulsion.
Examinations and Assessments
  • Students are required to attend all examinations and assessments. Absence during exams without valid reason or prior permission may lead to disqualification.
  • Cheating or malpractice during examinations will lead to immediate suspension.
Extra-Curricular Activities

Participation in extra-curricular activities such as sports, music, dance, and clubs is encouraged. Students are expected to show commitment and discipline in all school activities.

Adhering to these rules and regulations will ensure a harmonious and productive school environment where students can grow, learn, and thrive. Non-compliance with the above rules may lead to disciplinary action as per the school’s code of conduct.
